Donations made online to us are processed through a secure connection. When you make a donation online, we ask for your name, address, phone, e-mail address, and credit card information. We use your credit card number and address to process your donation(s) and to verify credit card data. We use your mailing address to send you tax-deductible receipts. Your phone number is used to contact you if we need to verify your donation information. In addition to this, we may also use your information in other ways, such as to contact you about Food Bank of Alaska activities and /or fundraising campaigns. We may also use the Personal Information that you provide to contact you offline. Food Bank of Alaska does use Third-Party vendors to provide services on this Website and offline. The information you submit on this site may be provided to these third-party vendors on a confidential basis so that those vendors may provide services such as mailing, sending email messages, and/or facilitating fundraising efforts on our behalf.

Food Bank of Alaska does not share your information with other organizations. The only mailing list that your name will be added to is our own. From time to time, we may publish donor lists in our annual report and other publications, but we do not list addresses or other contact info. FBA does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone.

FBA does not share your information with telemarketing centers. We do not use telephone marketing to solicit donations.

Anonymous Donations

You can send anonymous donations simply by sending a money order to us at the address below. If you do not give your name and address we will be unable to send you a tax-deductible receipt. You may also send us a check or credit card information and request that your name be anonymous and not published. You may also request that we not add you to our mailing list or ask for further donations, and we will honor your request.

Online Security: We Handle Your Donation with Care

All data and processing of online donations are encrypted and transmitted via a secure Internet connection and are processed using Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI)-compliant methods. A Level 1 PCI-Certified Gateway securely stores data, and no credit card numbers are stored online.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Information about Children

Food Bank of Alaska does not knowingly collect any Personal Information from or about a child without consent from the child’s parent(s) or guardian(s). We do not knowingly mail any fundraising solicitations to minors.
