Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)


Who qualifies for CSFP?
Pregnant women, new moms up to one year postpartum, infants, children up to 6 years, and seniors over 60 years who are at or below the CSFP income guidelines or who are already on ATAP, Food Stamps or Medicaid.

What can I get on CSFP?
A monthly package of nutritious foods including canned meat, vegetables, fruit, juice, cheese, milk, cereal, peanut butter or beans, pasta, rice or potatoes. Infants get formula, juice and cereal. You also receive Nutrition Education.

If I am on WIC can I also be on CSFP?
No. But when your child 'graduates' from WIC at age 5 he or she can be on CSFP for another year, up to age 6. Postpartum women who go off WIC at 6 months can be on CSFP for another 6 months.

CSFP food packages do not provide a complete diet, but rather are good sources of the nutrients typically lacking in the diets of the target population.
