Food Bank of Alaska believes that no one deserves to be hungry. Since 1979, we have been securing donated food for nonprofit agencies to distribute to hungry Alaskans.

Join us on First Friday

How do people experiencing hunger view it? Who are our hungry neighbors? How does it feel to live without enough to eat? You can discover answers at a 1st Friday photo exhibit, "Hunger Through My Eyes" Friday, October 3rd, 6-8:30 pm, The Boardroom, 601 W. 5th, 2nd Floor, Anchorage.

Take Action during Hunger Action Month

September is Hunger Action Month. Please join FBA and people across the country learning about hunger and what action we can take to end hunger locally. Use the calendar or our facebook page to keep up with current events. Check back - we will update the calendar with current events.

Holding a food drive? Most needed items

Families with limited financial resources often have fresh fruits and vegetables at the bottom of their list because they are expensive. They end up buying highly cheap, highly processed foods that are high in calories but are low in nutrition. Help supplement restricted choices choices by selecting healthy and nutritious foods. Here is a list of most needed items. Find more information about holding a food drive on our food drive page.
