Please contact our Volunteer and Food Drive
Coordinator if you are interested in any of the following volunteer opportunities:
CSFP Reapplication Volunteer:
You may have heard of or helped with one of the monthly CSFP box builds where volunteers pack
1,700 food boxes for low income seniors. There is a lot of behind the scenes administrative work
for this program and we could use the help of a committed volunteer(s) roughly 4 hours a week to
help with the annual re-application process. You can expect the usual stacks of paperwork,
filing, checking applications and data entry that is involved in ensuring that the seniors meet
the requirements for this federal food program. We look for volunteers to help with this program mid March to
mid-March through mid-June and again in mid-September through mid-December. For more information, please review the volunteer
and contact Sandra Mitchell
Help sort and shelve food collected during food drives.
We are currently in need of people who can commit to a few hours a day at
least one day a week.
Food Drives and Special Events:
Lend a hand at local
food drives, fundraising programs and special events. These jobs include collecting food, handing
out information and helping with events.
Food Box Assembly (CSFP):
FBA packs 1,700 food boxes each month to distribute to hungry
seniors. 28 volunteers are needed to assemble these food boxes. Our box builds are generally the
third Saturday of the month. Upcoming dates: March 21, April 18,
May 16, June 20, July 18, August 15, September 19, October 17, November 14, December NONE.
Must sign-up in advance. To find out more or to find out about open shifts for individuals or groups please contact
