We are looking for a long-term volunteer delivery driver to help deliver meals to home-bound seniors each month. Must own a vehicle, have a valid driver’s license, and be willing to deliver food boxes to 10 seniors each month. When you volunteer at Food Bank of Alaska, your impact goes well beyond the immediate project. We are truly honored and humbled to work with so many wonderful and generous people committed to a hunger-free Alaska. Volunteers make a difference for every program and department. We could not accomplish all that we do without the hours and talents provided by so many of you who care.
Volunteering as an Individual?
If you would like to volunteer at an event at Food Bank of Alaska, please use the following instructions after selecting your preferred event ABOVE.
- Please select an event you are interested in volunteering for, and you will be asked to sign in or to create an account with our database.
- Select your preferred event.
- If multiple times are available, select the time you would like to volunteer.
- You will be sent a confirmation email. Please read it as it has important information for your volunteering experience to be successful and rewarding.
Volunteering with a group (5 or more people)?
If your group is wanting to volunteer at one of the events posted below please use this link to fill out a form to submit a request to reserve spots to volunteer.
*Please note that due to liability reasons we are unable to have children under the age of 12 volunteering in our warehouse.
A note about COVID-19: If you have traveled outside of Alaska within the 10 days prior to volunteering, a negative COVID test upon re-entry is required to volunteer. If you have not taken a COVID test, please cancel your registration and wait 10 days before volunteering. Please help your fellow volunteers, our staff, and our food recipients by being sure to wash your hands thoroughly and not coming in to volunteer if you are not feeling well or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 including cough, fever, or loss of taste.
We are providing gloves and masks to volunteers. Volunteers are required to wear masks while volunteering with Food Bank of Alaska.
