Many hands and hearts fed 8,624 families
Donors, volunteers, the faith-based community, sponsors, and Food Bank of Alaska came together to celebrate Thanksgiving by providing over 8,624 families with nutritious meals for the holiday across 11 different Blessing sites from Anchorage to the Mat-Su Valley. Turkeys were also provided to 44 families in Port Heiden. One family said that Blessing meant “the world to us, especially that it helps feed our kids”. Seniors who are low-income told us they would not be eating without this food. We also heard from many families that they were thankful to be able to share this food with their own neighbors who were also struggling.
Thank you for making the holidays a time of joy and gratitude.
This annual tradition would not be possible without our lead sponsors. Many thanks for their generous support!
